Kristy Cook, Target
Kristy Cook is the Group Manager for Bankcard Strategic Projects at Target. Her responsibilities include supporting US card acceptance strategy, systems and processes for all Target locations and channels, as well as leading key bankcard acceptance initiatives like US EMV. She participates in the industry on behalf of Target in various forums including the U.S. Payments Forum steering committee, the Food Marketing Institute Electronic Payments Committee, the Merchant Advisory Group.
Kristy has worked for the past 14 years in the retail industry, with 7 years in bankcard acceptance. Prior to her roles in bankcard acceptance at Target, she worked in various finance and accounting positions at both Target and Supervalu. Before that, she spent several years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Eide Helmeke PLLP. Kristy holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of North Dakota, an MBA from University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant. She resides in Chanhassen, Minnesota with her husband and son.
