EMV chip payments are here in the US!

Consumers are now using secure EMV chip cards to pay nationwide. Chip payments reduce counterfeit card fraud, enable global interoperability, and prepare for NFC mobile contactless payments. EMV Connection provides up-to-date information and educational resources on EMV.

The EMV Migration Forum, a multi-stakeholder industry association, was formed to support the U.S. migration to chip technology. Now the organization is changing its name to the U.S. Payments Forum to reflect its new, broader focus on additional new and emerging payments technologies.
